7 lifestyles that improve heart health and reduce the risk of dementia
Several lifestyle factors that improve cardiovascular health have been associated with reducing the risk of developing dementia. Here’s what they are!
The attention paid to heart and artery health reduces the risk of cognitive decline and dementia at advanced age.

French researchers analyzed data from 6,626 participants aged 73.7 on average, focusing on different aspects of their lifestyle.

Seven lifestyle factors that improve cardiovascular health have been associated with reducing the risk of developing dementia. These are: avoiding smoking and excessive weight, regular physical exercise, eating twice a week or more, eating high in fruits and vegetables, maintaining blood sugar at a healthy level and normal blood pressure.

With each “optimum value,” the risk of dementia is reduced by 10%, the researchers said.

“Of all the diseases in the UK, dementia is currently the most important cause of death, so exploring the factors that could reduce the risk of this devastating disease is fundamental to its defeat ,

“We know that beneficial for the heart is beneficial to the head, and this study supports this theory by demonstrating that taking care of cardiovascular health can later help life in slowing down cognitive decline and reducing the risk of developing dementia. the study did not examine whether participants had healthy hearts in the first part of their lives – which would have made fewer of them develop dementia later – everyone should take action from an early age

Brown, recalling the importance of a balanced diet, avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol consumption and regular exercise.

The study, led by Dr. Cecilia Samieri of the University of Bordeaux, France, was published in the  Journal of the American Medical Association .
